Brown's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

26-year old American center Will Brown (213-C-1997) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Al Ittihad Ahli of Aleppo and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
He had a double-double of 17 points and 17 rebounds, while his team beat Al Naft (#3, 0-1), the league's bottom-ranked team 79-72. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Al Ittihad to take over top position in the West Asia Super League. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Al Ittihad won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Brown turned to be Al Ittihad's top player in his first season with the team. Fayetteville State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Brown is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 17.0rpg), assists (4th best: 2.0apg) and averages solid 100.0% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Tyler Wilkerson (203-F-1988) of Al-Muharraq. He is American forward in his first season at Al-Muharraq. In the last game Wilkerson recorded impressive double-double of 34 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Al-Muharraq lost that game 92-108 to Kuwait (1-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Wilkerson is a newcomer at Al-Muharraq and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 34.0ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 12.0rpg and 4.0apg.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Mouhammad Faye (207-F/C-1985) of league's second-best Al Rayyan Doha. Faye showcased his all-around game by recording 20 points, nine rebounds and five assists in the last round. He was a key player of Al Rayyan, leading his team to a 98-88 win against #4 ranked Al Ahli in a game of the week. Al Rayyan has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Faye also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Faye as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
